During setup you get a recovery phrase. Write it on paper and store it offline. Anyone who has that phrase owns everything in the wallet, permanently.
Never type your recovery phrase into a website. No support agent, airdrop, or verification step ever legitimately needs it.
Add some SOL
Buy SOL on any major exchange and withdraw it to your wallet's Solana address, or use the buy button built into the wallet.
Keep a little SOL spare beyond what you plan to spend. Every transaction on Solana costs a small network fee, and a wallet with zero SOL cannot trade at all.

The four ways people lose money here
- Buying the wrong token. Scam tokens copy the name, ticker, and logo exactly. The contract address is the only reliable check. An unrelated CateCoin has existed on BNB Chain since 2021, and it is not this.
- Fake airdrops and claim sites. Poor Goat has not issued a personal token. Sites offering a "$POORGOAT airdrop" are not affiliated with him. Connecting a wallet to claim something free is how wallets get drained.
- Giving away the recovery phrase. This is unrecoverable. There is no support line, no reversal, no insurance.
- Position sizing. This asset fell eighty-seven percent in five minutes in early August 2026. That can happen again, on any day, with no warning.
