The story

How a cat coin got an army

$CATE was not built by a company. It was fair launched, abandoned, picked up by a trader who had just had the run of his life, and carried by the people who showed up. Here is what is actually documented.

One

A dog went first

Dogecoin started as a joke about a Shiba Inu and became one of the most durable brands in crypto. It proved something uncomfortable and useful at the same time: a coin with no product and no promises can still build a real culture, because the culture was always the point.

$CATE calls itself the cat sister of Dogecoin. Not a competitor to it, and not a copy of it. The claim is lineage, and the joke is that the internet was always going to get around to cats.

Two

The trader who traded in public

Poor Goat is anonymous. He posts as @PoorGoat_ on X and @poorgoat__ on TikTok, and says he has been in crypto for more than five years. There is no public name and no public face, and that is deliberate.

What is public is his trading. He built his following on FOMO, a Solana app where positions and profit and loss are visible by design. You cannot quietly take profit on a platform like that. Everyone can see the exit.

Three

The ANSEM trade

In mid 2026 an anonymous developer launched a token named after Ansem, one of the best-known traders in Solana, and airdropped most of the supply to his wallet. Ansem leaned into it rather than disowning it, and the coin ran hard.

Poor Goat was early. He has said the trade played out entirely in public on FOMO and took him from roughly thirty thousand dollars to about one and a half million, and that it brought him a hundred thousand followers in a month.

Where this comes from. These figures are Poor Goat's own account, given in his pinned X article and in a July 2026 interview with MINHxDYNASTY. His FOMO wallet is public, which is how the community verifies him, but no independent audit of these numbers exists. Treat them as claims, not as facts.

Four

The decision that mattered

This is the part of the story the community actually cares about. By his account, selling into the run would have meant selling directly to the people who had followed him into it. So instead of taking the exit, he started pointing the attention at community coins and buying alongside the people watching.

You do not have to find that admirable to find it strategically interesting. On a platform where every position is public, reputation compounds and a single exit can spend all of it at once.

Five

Finding $CATE

$CATE fair launched on pump.fun on 27 July 2026. It caught fire when the owner of Kabosu, the Shiba Inu whose face became Dogecoin, posted a video of a kitten. The symmetry did the rest, and the coin ran hundreds of times over in a day.

Poor Goat says he found it while going through new pairs, bought a small position at around a hundred thousand dollars of market cap, and watched it survive three copycat launches before running to ten million in six hours.

Six

Picking up an abandoned coin

Then the person who had taken over running the coin disappeared, with the market cap down around two and a half million from its high. On most abandoned meme coins that is the end of the story.

Poor Goat took it over and started running it himself. What followed was not quiet: a run toward seventy million, an eighty-seven percent collapse inside five minutes in early August, and a recovery. Anyone telling you this asset is stable is not being straight with you.

On the volatility. The crash was real and it was fast. This site publishes the live numbers precisely so nobody has to take a story's word for what the chart is doing. Check the board.

Seven

The army

What makes this different from the thousand meme coins launched the same week is not the chart. It is that a group of people decided to be a group. The Telegram fills up, the voice chats run long, and the memes keep coming whether the candle is green or red.

That is what this site is for. Not to sell you anything, but to be the place where the Cate Army can check the contract, read the numbers, grab the art, and know what is real.

What this story is not

  • It is not a reason to buy anything. A good origin story and a real community do not make a token go up.
  • It is not verified accounting. The dollar figures are self-reported and socially verified through a public wallet, which is not the same as audited.
  • It is not affiliated with the older CateCoin launched on BNB Chain in 2021. Different chain, different contract, different project.
